Welcome to The New Show guide at TV Tome. Lorne Michaels returned to television with this aimless variety program. Produced, written, and starring most of the people Michaels worked with on "Saturday Night Live," it was criticized for not having a particular direction or style. Most of the people that worked on "The New Show" ended up returning to "SNL" when Michaels became Executive Producer again in 1985. There is no editor for this show.
