Welcome to the Don Adams' Screen Testguide at TV Tome. The syndicated game show Don Adams' Screen Test ran for 26 episodes in 1974 and 1975. Contestants appeared in staged scenes from classic films such as From Here to Eternity, On the Waterfront, and The African Queen, putting up with the intentionally schlocky production values in hopes of being chosen by a participating director for a tiny role in a real production. Helping the former Get Smart star and his Hollywood hopefuls with the scenes were such real-life actors and actresses as Bob Newhart, Phyllis Diller, Mel Brooks and Milton Berle.
