Seventy years have passed since the end of the century long conflict known as "The War", Avatar Aang and his friends have since died, but the world has finally been rebuilt. The Avatar has been reincarnated as Korra, a seventeen year old girl from the Southern Water Tribe. She is a hot-headed, pugnacious young woman who is ready to take on the world.
Together with her friends Mako, Bolin, and her animal guide, Naga, she must find the Airbending Master (and the son of Avatar Aang) in Republic City and master Airbending. She will face many trials during her journey, including an Anti-Bending movement that is being orchestrated by the Equalists and their leader, Amon.
