Rogue sports agent 'Wild' Bill Telford is in it up to his knees again.
Young Test cricket hopeful, Nathan Bailey (Matthew Walker), has failed a random drug test and Bill (John Wood) is determined to prove he's innocent.
Bill blames himself for Nathan's woes, as it was at Bill's insistence that Nathan accompanied him to Thailand and he was also injured in the terrorist bombing.
Bill orders his son Andrew (Matt Passmore) to fight the drug charge.
Initially sceptical, Andrew discovers there are plenty of people with the opportunity and motive to set up Nathan.
When Andrew delivers an outstanding result he earns the gratitude of his ex-girlfriend Naomi (Eloise Oxer).
Meanwhile, Bill's wife Roz (Julianne Newbould), discovers the full extent of Bill's debts and she fears the possibility of the Telfords losing their family home.
A very broke Roz is offered a large sum of money to betray her best friend. In exchange for $20,000 Roz is asked to dig up the dirt on Bill's right-hand man, Danny (Ben Oxenbould).
The former footy great is a candidate in a local council election and he's standing on an anti-development ticket to protect the local surf club.
