When a soldier is blown up during a stealth exercise and the body of a woman is found buried at the site of the explosion, DI Norton and the team move in to investigate.
Jake returns to the team, despite his obvious feelings for Eve, which puts her in a difficult position regarding both her career and children.
She soon becomes fixated, though, with one of the army officers Stubbs (Steve John Shepherd) who emerges as the prime suspect in the barracks case.
Meanwhile, Jake must deal with his own demons again after finding out his mother has been abused in her nursing home. Only time will tell if Even and Jake can resolve their feelings for each other and solve the murder.
