After a depressing marriage counseling session with Sophie, Mark goes on a stag weekend up the river with Jeremy, where they meet two sisters Aurora and Lucy. Jeremy is keen on Aurora and Mark is keen on Lucy, or rather the potentially marriage-ruining job prospects in India that her father Malcolm could offer him. However, things go wrong for Jeremy and the sisters' dog, Mummy.
