Animals have all sorts of different coverings - Stripes, spots, plain colours, furry, smooth skinned, spiky, etc. See if you can find all sorts of animals with very different appearances. e.g. a spiny anteater or a zebra, a polar bear and an elephant.
You could make a special dress for a toy with some scrap material, or tissue paper. This can be very simple, by wrapping the material around the toy and tying it in place with a ribbon.
