Ideas for later
BUILD YOUR OWN CITY
• There are many interesting things to see in the city. E.g. the different buildings, parks, fountains, buses, bridges, boats, trams and many cars. Next time you drive or walk through the city, describe some of the objects to someone, and then play "city building" with blocks or boxes when you return home.
OWN RESTAURANT
• Have you ever been to a restaurant? You could make a restaurant and your toys or friends could visit. All you need are a few chairs, a table and someone to help prepare the simple food.
ANIMAL BOOKS
• Next time you visit the library, see how many books you can find about cows or sheep.
Make and Do
BUILDINGS
Matt added four cardboard cylinders to form Doric Columns as ornate decoration, to the Cardboard box "Art Gallery"
Karen added cardboard steps and ramp to a box building. Then she put on a lift to take customers to the rooftop restaurant.
The restaurant consisted of a plastic salad bowl upside down. Karen added paper trees and plants to add to the ambience of the "Garden Restaurant"
HAT BADGES
To make car hat badge you will need:
• A pre-cut cardboard car badge
• Pastel crayons
• Photos of people
• Tape
Matt decorated the badge with the crayons, put the photo of people in the car, and taped it onto his baseball cap.
He had already made Karen a round flower badge from cardboard, and had pasted onto it some different coloured paper scraps for flowers.
