Kai-lan is excited because today she's going to the beach with Ye Ye and her friends, to play in the sand, fly kites, and go in the water! When some little crabs give Kai-lan a seashell, she and Tolee decide to build a sandcastle for them. But when a wave comes in and knocks down Tolee's tower, he becomes very angry and knocks down the rest of the sandcastle, that everyone else was working on! Kai-lan and the viewer figure out how to help Tolee calm down. Then everyone can build an even better sandcastle – that won't get knocked down by the waves. The crabs love it, and so do a whole lot of other sea creatures!
