A young woman is found shot to death in a ransacked apartment. Detectives speculate she may have stumbled upon a robbery. They interview the apartment's residents. They claim to have been out partying the night of the murder. But one resident, the victim's boyfriend, is missing. Detectives discover evidence that sheds doubt on the roommates' testimony.
