In this episode of Wheeler Dealers the challenge is to save a Saab 900 Turbo from the scrap yard. Auto veteran Mike Brewer joins forces with his mechanic mate with only £1,000 and one week to save the car.
Working from a dedicated garage base, the Saab will need a number of repair jobs, plus a host of smaller, cosmetic tidy ups before it's ready for the road. A sure treat for lovers of Saabs everywhere.
First and foremost Mike must find the 900 to revamp. Through a number of mediums, such as small ads, the Internet, specialist clubs and garage forecourts, he hunts down the best car to work on. Whilst finding the car to renovate, Mike offers plenty of useful and general tips on how to select the perfect second hand motor.
Acclaimed motor specialist Edd China makes his initial assessment of the Saab, leaving Mike to decide what to spend the £1,000 on and how best to get the car back on the road and cruising down the motorway.
The ultimate aim is to have the Saab renovated, cleaned and finally sold to a keen buyer; hopefully at a profit. Again Mike will offer essential tips on how to sell a second-hand car.
