In a place like no other, where fire and water meet, the battle for survival rages on. Stromboli is an island in the Mediterranean and one of the most active volcanoes on the planet. Lava and debris constantly pour into the sea. But this doesn’t phase the common octopus. We now bring the species’ never-before-told struggle for life to the screen. Males fight to the death over females; a mother strives to protect her young. And if they can survive the harsh environment and sharks, countless shipwrecks and fishing nets provide unusually rich hunting grounds.
