Today is the Day of Silence for Internet radio. In response to the recently increased royalty fees in the copyright court Internet radio operators are turning off programming to draw attention to the matter and hopefully create a movement to overturn the ruling. Thomas had a question about DL.TV and Cranky Geek episodes and TiVo Video-on-demand. He wanted to know why the episodes seem a bit behind what is currently online. The short answer is that we need to reformat the video for TiVo's service which requires another lengthy re-render of the show. This is done after the other encoding is done for the downloads. Hopefully we should be able to generate this on a more regular basis as we work up a regular schedule.
