Comparison shopping online? That price looks good? You can pick it up in the store right now? Then you should buy it online for pickup in the store, or print out those prices before you head to the store! Especially if you're shopping at Kragen or BestBuy. Why? 'Cause sometimes the online price and the in store price are different, even if you're picking it up in the store. These are the two we've ran into lately. (sigh)
• Networking two buildings? Use fiber, not copper Ethernet!!! Otherwise you can create all kinds of electrical headaches... or kill two buildings worth of networks if one get hits by lightning. Or, if the ground potential is different enough between the two buildings... well, watch the show. We'll talk about it there. • DivX movies look better off your $100 DVD player than your $1500 Macbook? Chances are you do need to tweak your settings in VLC, the Video Lan Client, David! (Deinterlacing is generally -not- on by default, makes DVDs or any non-deinterlaced video look ugly. Robert reccos the X setting!
• PCI-X vs. PCIe... you've got PCI-X (PCI Extended) on that motherboard, David. You want PCIe (PCI Express) for the latest and greatest in graphics cards.
• GoogleFight: Yes, Scott, we're stupid. We didn't put quotes around the names we searched!
• Mimobots aren't evil. They're limited edition USB thumbrives designed by artists. Oh... they've got Star Wars characters in 1GB to 4GB versions. Can you say 'collectible?' Roger says "never take it out of the box!"

• " PC Gaming on the Upswing" says the New York Times. No matter what we said on air, the "prime reason is sales and subscription services of games like World of Warcraft." Retail sales are climbing, too... but the numbers we quoted on air are without online sales or subscriptions.
