Hosted by Bob Barker and Helen O'Connell and held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic - This is the 26th Miss Universe pageant. There are 80 contestants this year, but only one will be the winner. The judges have voted and Janelle Commissiong from Trinidad and Tobago is crowned Miss Universe 1977.
