Curious George goes to a Dog Show with Professor Wiseman. When George hears it's a dog show, he thinks that it's going to be dogs putting on a show and not people showing off their dogs so he doesn't really pay attention. Then, Professor Wiseman takes him to see the winning dogs up close and he is fascinated. When he goes home to tell the Man with the Yellow Hat he can only remember 3 of the dogs so he ends up going back to the dog show and bringing all the winning dogs back to his house and organizes them by categories to keep track of them.
