The series is a variety/news show revolving around Colbert's TV persona, a parody of opinionated cable news personalities like Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Joe Scarborough. In addition to its satirical mock-conservative analysis of current news topics, the show features interviews and often a musical guest. The series airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30 pm EST and re-airs several times a day.
