Digit arrives in R-Fair City ready to seek out Madame N. Cognita, who invited him vacation there. Only after she's used a crooked fairway game to trick him into a cage does he realize that she is Hacker in disguise. The kids, having been sent to rescue him, know only that he is in danger and that Motherboard has said something about unfair games. When a coin toss wins them a free ride from a cab driver named ""Lucky"", they take advantage of the opportunity to explore the city with a local. Lucky teaches them how to recognize a fair game--one in which everyone's chances of winning are the same--and leads them from site to site to test the games out. She explains that a rumor has been circulating that there are unfair games in R-Fair City, and that as a result fewer and fewer people have been coming to play.
