Danny finds a broach and gives it to his mother for her birthday. He is dismayed when he sees a newspaper ad offering a $50-reward for its return.
Danny then involves Laurie and Keith in an ill-fated plan to get the broach back from their mother without Shirley's knowledge, and buy her a duplicate with part of the reward money.
