When J.R was feared dead in the plane crash, Sue Ellen turned to Cliff Barnes for support. The relationship progressed, and while J.R is away again, the affair goes further. Bobby and Pam's relationship is tested as well. He wants her to help with business, she wants to pursue business of her own at the store. Sue Ellen finds out she is pregnant, and drops Cliff fast.
