Feeling out of place in his second year of middle school, Koyuki runs into an old friend from grammar school named Izumi. After their reunion Izumi starts to hang out with Koyuki again, and introduces him to music other then pop music. Koyuki later joins Ruusuke, Izumi's brother, to make the band Beck.
