While Donna Matson was presenting Lands and People of Our World to PBS audiences, Ruth Kotila was scripting and producing a worldwide field-trip series of her own. The result, called Other Families, Other Friends, was one of the most expansive film series ever produced by WVIZ-TV in Cleveland. From her "Square One" post in front of a fireplace, Ruth Kotila introduced young people living in all sorts of countries. There is no editor for this show.
