Based on the movie 'Major League', Hardball is the story of a bunch of very different people thrown together to make a team. The adventures they have are only made more funny by an owner that hates the lot of them.<br>The production company had extremely bad timing, as they launched the sitcom in the middle of a nationwide baseball strike. The show only lasted for seven episodes.
