One of the most dominant seasons in 49ers history was 1997. They had won eight in a row (their first seven against divisional opponents). Two more wins would give San Francisco the NFC West championship. With a deep pool of reserves, the Niners would not be denied. Certainly the back-pedaling Eagles stood no chance.
