An era ended when newly-traded Broadway Joe Namath started his final game at quarterback for the Rams. After passing poorly, it was undeniable that Namath's career was over. L.A. coach Chuck Knox inserted second-year QB Pat Haden, who nearly pulled off a giant comeback. Though Chicago won 24-23, the Rams knew Pat Haden would get them back on track.
