Welcome to the Diggit guide at TV Tome. Diggit began in 1993 as the Saturday Morning version of GMTV. The very first presenters are unknown but it is known that Fearne Cotton was presenter until 2000 and Liam and Abbie took over. In 1993, GMTV was the freshest breakfast show. So they decided to make a child version which came under diggit. They teamed up with the Disney Channel and instead of the news, ITV broadcasted a spin off of the disney channel and GMTV. It was a big success until 2003. In 2003, The Saturday Show(hosted by ex-diggit presenter Fearne Cotton) ran parallell to the last 20 minutes of Diggit. Diggit's ratings began to drop because The Saturday Show ratings were rising. It got to the point where ITV needed something fast and they didn't rule out replacing the show. But September 2003 saw many changes. The Saturday Show was axed to make way for Dick and Dom in da Bungalow. Ratings then began to even out because SMTV Live was replaced with SMTV Gold showi
