Welcome to the Smart Hart guide at TV Tome. A show encouraging children to create their own artworks. The show inherited features from Tony Hart's BBC art programmes, including The Gallery (pictures sent in by viewers), Morph (an animated character whose misadventures provide punctuation between items) and the tradition of producing a giant artwork as the climax to each episode. Though it is less anarchic than ITV's rival show Art Attack (to which it was partly a response), the programme has an easy-going, partly-improvised feel and a variety of studio-based and on-location items.
