Emily Elizabeth remembers how things were when he tried to go to bed back when they lived in the city. She decides to tell him just one more story. So we go back in time, to a night when Clifford was outside the apartment in which the Howards lived, trying to sleep. But there wasn't enough room for him and he simply couldn't get comfortable. So the neighbors all helped out by giving him blankets and a large stuffed teddy bear. With all of these, Clifford was able to go to sleep. Emily Elizabeth then recalls taking Clifford for a walk. During the walk, she and Clifford met up with a Little League baseball team. They were impressed with his huge size and invited him to catch some balls.
