#10701 ""Clifford and the Beanstalk"" Mr. Howard is raking leaves, when Clifford and Emily Elizabeth come. Clifford jumps in one of the piles of leaves, messing it up. Fortunately, Mr. Howard's a nice guy, so he doesn't mind too much. Emily Elizabeth's excited, as her class is putting on a play. It's ""Jane and the Beanstalk"" and she's going to try out for the role of Jane. She's been working hard, learning all of the lines. She enlists Charley and the dogs Clifford, Cleo and T-Bone to help her out. Charley's the man who gives her the beans. Cleo is the goose who laid the golden eggs, T-Bone is her cow and she gives Clifford the role of the big, mean giant. Clifford has trouble with the role, as he's big, but he's certainly not mean. He keeps crying during the sad parts. Still, with everyone's help, Emily Elizabeth is able to practice. The next day, Emily Elizabeth arrives home again. She tells Mr. Howard that she didn't get the role of Jane. That went to Jetta, who Ms. Carrington said
