Holly reacts to her parents' divorce by becoming anorexic. Doris leads the effort to plan the prom, which has a Hawaiian luau theme. Danny and Chris struggle to find dates to the prom.
The episode starts off with Holly being dropped off at the School of the Arts by her dad. She's arguing with him about his separation from Holly's mom. Later, we see Holly performing beautifully in dance class with Chris. After class, Miss Grant tells her that she's doing really well. Holly mentions that she's trying to lose weight. Lydia assures Holly that she'll be invisible if she loses more weight. Nicole says, ""See you in the showers, Skinny."" as she passes Holly. Holly pinches herself and says, ""Skinny... I wish.""
Holly tries to get her parents back together by preparing a meal for them. She encourages them to eat a lot, but she barely touches the food herself. Later, we see Holly begging Miss Sherwood to raise a grade on an English paper from a B+ to an A. Miss Sherwood refuses and te
