Jean tells Sid his cousin Tony from New York is in London & is coming around to visit him. Sid is shaken by this news & suddenly wants to take everyone out to dinner.
Sid explains that in the 1920's his uncle Fred migrated to Chicago & got into some trouble with the law & met an untimely end. After staying out till after midnight the family return home to find cousin Tony waiting inside for them,He tells Sid he's in big trouble & can he stay with them. Tony takes Mike's room & Mike has to sleep on the couch,but the loose TV aerial cable is tapping on the window & keeping Mike awake so he goes outside to fix it & then climbs back in the window. A patroling police car sees him & calls for back-up before knocking on the door. Sally tells Sid the police are at the front door & Sid panics thinking they'll arrest him for harbouring a criminal,they hide Tony in a closet & Sid opens the door, the sergeant asks him if this is his house & can some one else prove he's telling the truth.
