Sally's continued obsession with Rosie's future continues to cause problems for the Webster household. The determined mum is even scrimping and saving on household goods in order to save money, much to Kevin's dismay. In an act of desperation, she approaches a local entrepreneur to enquire if he would be interested in sponsoring Rosie to attend drama school. Mike's answer is not exactly what Sally was looking for and when he flippantly offers Rosie an audition on one his sewing machines, Sally's snobbish response is overheard and leads to a public slanging match with another one of Weatherfield's residents. It seems Sally is prepared to sacrifice both friends and family in her pursuit of stardom for her much maligned daughter. How long will it be before those around her reach breaking point?
