Steve tells Jim about Liz's affair. Fred, Bet and Liz reunite at a Newton and Ridley party. Liz tells Bet about the new man in her life, but reveals that they only slept together once, and Liz doesn't know what she wants from life. Blanche returns and makes it clear to Roy and Hayley that she refuses to let them take her great grandchild. Jim escapes from prison and Steve takes him back to the flat, to Karen's horror.
