There were tears in more than one household on Christmas Day as Kevin was forced to make a choice between the two women in his life.
Kevin and Molly decided that they were fed up of living a lie and wanted to go public with their affair. But Kevin's priorities received a sharp wake up call when Sally announced the heartbreaking news that she had breast cancer!
As Kevin reeled in shock from Sally's news he was faced with a race against the clock to stop Molly revealing their secret to Tyrone. He finally managed to get Molly alone to tell her the news and ended their relationship with some harsh words: "My wife needs me. Go home. And grow up."
What will Molly do now?
Meanwhile, at the Platts’ house Tina got a shock of her own when she found a familiar face in Gail's son Nick as she realised he was the handsome stranger she’d kissed in town. Nick looked like a cat that had got the cream and took any chance to wind her up.
Elsewhere, the tension in the Barlow household could have been cut with a knife. George upstaged Ken by giving Simon a Wii for Christmas and Ken's resentment came out at the dinner table.
When George offered Peter a glass of wine, Ken leapt at the chance to have a go at him. But Ken only injured himself as Peter decided to leave with George taking Simon and Leanne with him.
At the Rovers Steve talked to his mum about his relationship with Becky and his wish to have more children. But will Becky be as keen?
