As Roy goes to phone the police the enormity of what he's about to do hits him. Aware he will ruin both Maria's life and memories he puts the phone down feeling conflicted. Hayley then sets about trying to persuade Roy to let his suspicions about Tony drop as he has no real evidence. Will Roy agrees? Joe surprises Gail with a meal and champagne on the back of the boat parked on the drive. They giggle like teenagers as they clamber aboard and Joe shows Gail the boat's new name, 'Gail Force'. But the mood changes when Joe suddenly gets down on one knee and proposes. Will Gail accept? George meets the Barlow clan for the first time. Simon's delighted to see his granddad again, especially when he gives him a present. Deirdre and Blanche are also bowled over by George's charm but Ken's not so sure. And Jack admits to Tyrone he's worried Connie is after more than just companionship as he keeps hearing her shuffling about outside his bedroom door in the night.
