There is a brief recap of the race so far to kick off the episode, up to the 5 consecutive turns where Keisuke lost his race. The crowd is shocked to see the 86 so close to the 32. There are some great racing scenes of the two cars (so, not alot of dialogue or plot developments to cap here). The racers are still being closely followed by Ryousuke's RX7. As they get into the turns, Nakazato realises he's close ot the spot where the 86 used it's gutter technique to beat Keisuke, and moves so that Takumi can't take the inside. Keisuke also notices this. Stripped of the ability to gutter-drift, Takumi tries to drift around Nakazato from the outside of the turn, cutting it so close to the opposite side of the track with his back wheels, they kick up dirt onto the bystanders. Nakazato catches the move in time and moves to block Takumi. There are three turns left now, and once again, Takumi tries to take the outside as Nakazato clocks the inside. Once again, Nakazato blocks his attempt.
