When Eddie arrives to his tower one morning, he is surprised to find a homeless man there. When Eddie tries to get rid of him, the homeless man attacks Eddie with a shard of glass and steals a picture of Shauni. Mitch tells him that the homeless man is named Hector Clay, also known as Hector ""The Collector"". He was released from the mental hospital because of funding cuts.
Meanwhile, Hobie meets a homeless girl named Charlie. When she loses her harmonica, Hobie gives it back to her. That night when Charlie is asleep in an abandoned power plant, Hector steals her journal. The journal is Charlie's most precious thing. She and her mom shares it. When Charlie's mom doesn't show up when she is supposed to, Charlie gets worried. Later, Mitch arrives and he brings Charlie home. Mitch finds Charlie's mom at the police station. She was wrongfully imprisoned and Mitch manages to get her out of prison.
