Eddie Santini is on trial for the murder of Jessica Orton. As the case continues, employees of Mr Sherman are eliminating the key witnesses, including John Ferguson and DS Rosie Fox. The jury finds Eddie not guilty, and he is released, but is murdered in his flat by his friend from the Drugs Squad, DS Paul Timpney.
