What is MMA H.E.A.T. about?
Fight fans, get ready: because Wednesday, September 22, MMA H.E.A.T. will be making the jump from online syndication to the up-and-coming national cable network MAVTV. Celebrating Heart, Endurance, Aggression and Technique both in the cage and in entertainment, MMA H.E.A.T. is a half-hour show for fans of mixed martial arts, combat sports and pop culture. With her unique blend of journalism, hotness and humor, host Karyn Bryant brings you closer to the established stars and rising prospects in MMA, as well as the Hollywood celebs who love the sport.
To date, MMA H.E.A.T. has featured UFC superstars including Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell, Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida and Rashad Evans. The Strikeforce roster has also been well represented, with appearances from Frank Shamrock, Fabricio Werdum, Dan Henderson, Jake Shields, Renato "Babalu" Sobral and Cung Le just to name a few. Familiar Hollywood faces have already joined Karyn on the show: Mickey Rourke, Ice-T, F. Gary Gray, Tyrese Gibson and Garret Dillahunt are some of the stars who took the opportunity to share their love of the fastest-growing sport in the country, if not the world.
Their new venture on MAVTV puts the Telly Award™ winning MMA H.E.A.T. in front of over 35 million homes, thanks to the network's carriage on 7 out of the 10 top national distributors: Comcast, Time Warner, DISH Network, Charter, Cablevision, Brighthouse, and Verizon’s FiOS. MAVTV is programmed with content aimed at a male audience, with a focus on motorsports, fighting, comedy, and, of course, beautiful women. Wednesday nights on MAVTV is themed around MMA fighting and billed as “Beatdown Night” on the network.
