The little mice are planning a Christmas dinner. Katnip shows up dressed as Santa, and they let him in. He takes their food, puts them out in the snow, and hangs up stockings of his own. Cousin Herman shows up and asks, "Why the gloom?" Herman (and his cousins) and Katnip spend Christmas together. Unfortunately, unlike other cartoon cats, this pussycat DOESN'T get a happy ending.
