Jeff and Shannon met in college where Jeff was smitten by Shannon's fun and vivacious personality. They had lots of sex before they were married. Afterward, Shannon all but stopped relations with Jeff, in part because she was overwhelmed by the shame she felt for having had premarital sex. Jeff has dealt with the stress of losing his sex life for years and is desperate for love and affection. Dr. Berman teaches the couple how to reignite their lost passion while also helping Shannon get past her religious guilt.
