Shido is ancient vampire who spends his time playing a NOIR style detective who solves unusual crimes that tend to be caused by body possessing demons called the “NightBreed”. Accompanying him are; Riho his young secretary that he took pity upon after her entire family was slain by a NightBreed, and Guni a small winged demon who likes to make smart-alecky remarks at his expense. His usual team is rounded off by Yayoi an agent of the N.O.S whose job it is to prevent paranormal events such as the NightBreed.
