Tohru finally goes to live with her paternal grandfather, now that his house renovations are complete. However, this results to be a hassle for Tohru and a disappoint for the Sohma family. Tohru's paternal family, except for her grandfather, view her more as a burden than as a blessing to be a part of the household. Tohru's grandfather later urges her to opt whether if she would be more content residing with the Sohma family rather than her paternal family. Yuki and Kyo arrive to retrieve her after she confesses that she is more satisfied living with the Sohma family. They all return to their house to meet up with Shigure, as Tohru is happy to continue her new life living with the Sohma family.
