October 23rd 1942.
Two armies face off across a 40 mile strip of remote North African desert. 200,000 Allied troops with over 1,000 tanks will go head to head against 100,000 Axis troops with 500 tanks. The battle will be fought over one of the harshest terrains in the world. Over the next twelve days what happens here will destroy hundreds of tanks and kill or wound over 35,000 men.
