Minori spaces out during a baseball game due to what Ami had said, and makes a mistake causing her team to lose the game. Christmas is coming up, much to the joy of Taiga, whose suspension from school has just lifted. After Ry?ji tells her that his relationship with Minori has not progressed, Taiga declares the need to play the role of Cupid for him, since she wants to be good for Santa. At school the next morning, students who became fans of Taiga's after her fight with Sumire surround Taiga and Ry?ji. After acknowledging her victory, Taiga and Ry?ji head to their classroom to see Minori wearing a bald wig while speaking nonsense. Y?saku arrives and lies down in front of Taiga in admiration for her actions to help his relationship with Sumire. Later, Y?saku announces the student council will organize a Christmas party on Christmas Eve to boost romantic feelings between students. Taiga and Ry?ji ask Minori to go to the Christmas party with them, but she vehemently declines. Taiga, Ry?ji, Y?saku, Haruta, Noto, and Maya eat together at the restaurant where Minori works (who is off today), and they force pair Y?saku and Taiga up at a table by themselves. Maya approaches Ry?ji about going to the party with Taiga, but it just leads Ry?ji to the conclusion that Maya has a crush on Y?saku.
