Dr. Brown tries to intervene when a bulimic high school champion wrestler, Gavin Curtis (Douglas Smith, real-life brother of series star Gregory Smith), puts his life in jeopardy while preparing for an important tournament. Bright is suspended from school after he fights with Amy's boyfriend, Tommy Callahan (recurring guest star Paul Wasilewski). Meanwhile, Linda (recurring guest star Marcia Cross) suspects that Dr. Brown is reluctant to become more intimate with her because of her HIV status. And Ephram is convinced that college student Madison (recurring guest star Sarah Lancaster) is embarrassed to be seen with him.
