Through the twin techniques of Shinobi meditation and ninja exercise, the five Turtles are able to project their astral forms (dream-selves) into the Realm of Dreams in search of Master Splinter. Finding their Master a prisoner of the nefarious Dragon Lord along with his toady assitant Wick and the Rank Dragons, the Turtles expect a fight - but are surprised (and pleased) to find the Dragon Lord allowing them to return safely to the physical world with Splinter. But why?
Why, indeed? Because, unbeknownst to the TMNT and Splinter, the Dragon Lord and his minions have followed the Turtles from the Realm of Dreams to our world!
The TMNT and Splinter find much to celebrate; Splinter's freedom and return to health, the final defeat of the Shredder and the Foot, and the arrival of Venus into their lives.
