(continued) One day, Joe Fuselli and Tom Kopka report to Ness that one of Capone's boys threw an envelope with a $2,000 bribe into their car. Ness calls a press conference. He says the money is going to the U.S. Marshal's office. Ness and his men can't be touched by Capone's bribes or bullets. The next day, the newspaper headlines declare them the Untouchables. One of Capone's boys reads the story to him, ""Ness and his men have proven to Al Capone that they are Un-a-touchable."" Capone's mob finds out about Ness' wiretap, and disconnect it. Now, Ness' only chance to get inside information about the mob is from George Ritchie-- but he's driving a fancy new car, and his wife Barbara has a new ring worth a couple of grand, so George is obviously getting a lot of dough from the mob. He's playing both sides, and is being rather obvious about it; if the mob finds out, he's dead. Ness and 2 of his men sweat the truth out of George, he says all he did was give the mob some names and add
