When Sir Loungealot accidentally breaks Excaliburn, he and Flicker venture to the Lady in the Lake (Loungealot's mother) to repair it. Since Loungealot forgot to renew the warrantee, she cannot help them. Loungealot must follow the Dragon's Breath and conquer three battles before finding the answer; a journey that leads them to Murray's Monastery of Monks and a surprise family reunion.
