CM Punk comes to the ring and says that he's tired of all the complaints from what happened at The Bash. Punk says he's a competitor and will never take a shortcut, but what Jeff Hardy did to him was deliberate. Punk says that Hardy wants a rematch, and Punk wants an apology from Hardy. Instead of Hardy, Smackdown GM Teddy Long comes down and tells him that at Night of Champions he will face Hardy once again and that since Vince McMahon wants him to keep shaking things up, tonight Edge & Chris Jericho will face Punk & Hardy. Then Jeff Hardy comes down and tells Punk that he will apologize…for beating him at Night of Champions.
